Single Speed Pumps
Single speed pumps are available in a number of sizes and can be used for your pools main filtration system or as a separate pump to drive water features or heat pumps.

Variable Speed Pumps
With the cost of electricity increasing all the time it is important to reduce the running costs for your pool. The best way to do this is with a variable speed pump. Most variable speed pumps available now are fully adjustable and can be set to three different speed settings.
Your pool pump should only need to run at a slow to medium speed setting on a daily basis while filtering the pool water therefore significantly reducing the running costs of your pool. If you need more suction pressure e.g. to drive a water feature or suction pool cleaner then you simply select the high speed option on the pump.

Solar Heating
Solar heating is a great way to extend your swimming season and get the most out of your investment.
As a rough guide, solar heating should extend your normal swimming season by another 3-4 months.

Electric Heat Pumps
When it comes to heating your pool, electric heat pumps are becoming more popular. Advances in technology focus on efficiency and reducing running costs. Heat pumps come in a range of sizes and can be matched to the size of your pool. This alternative to solar heating allows you to heat your pool all year round for non stop swimming.

Gas Heaters
Ideal for small bodies of water such as spas, gas heaters allow you to heat on demand. They have the ability to heat the water up very quickly and to high temperatures.

Solar Blankets
Solar blankets are a great environmental option and have two main purposes. First, they are used for stopping loss of water from evaporation, this means less water is required to refill your pool. Second, they also help heating the pool water, reducing our energy consumption. It is possible to increase the water temperature in you’re pool by 4 5 degrees (depending on the time of year) by just using a solar blanket on your pool. If you choose to heat your pool with solar heating, electric heat pump or a gas heater then you will need a solar blanket to help keep the pool water at the desired temperature.

In-ground solar blanket boxes
When space around you’re pool is limited, traditional above ground solar blanket rollers can take up valuable space and are also know to easily get blown around in windy conditions. These are a great way to hide your solar blanket and above ground roller whilst also making your solar blanket a lot easier to use.

Water Management Systems
If you want your pool to be as low maintenance as possible then you should consider a water management system. The advantage of this type of pool controller over your traditional salt water chlorinator is that it will automatically test and adjust the pH and chlorine levels of your pool. This keeps it safe for the family to swim in and also protects your pool shell from the potential negative effects of high pH and chlorine levels.
It is important to understand that you will still need to test and balance your pool water when you do your pH and chlorine.

Salt Chlorinator
The most popular pool water system is salt chlorinated. Salt chlorinated pool controllers have been around for a long time and are very easy to use and low maintenance. The controller is set to for the required amount of time each day and the chlorinator cell converts the salt in the water into chlorine gas to sanitise your pool.

Freshwater System
The Ozone Swim 1000 uses patent Corona Discharge technology to produce Ozone. Ozone is a naturally occurring oxidiser that protects our planet in the atmosphere and is used widely to sanitise water. The Ozone Swim 1000 will reduce chlorine levels by up to 80%, they effectively destroy organics, impurities, bacteria and virus and further oxygenate the water.

Cartridge Filter
The cartridge filter is the most popular type of filter used on residential pools and is available in a number of different sizes. It doesn’t require a backwash line and is capable of filtering out very fine material from your pool. The cartridge element inside will need to be cleaned out occasionally which is easy to do. A cartridge filter can be used with salt water, chlorine and freshwater pool.

Sand Filter
The sand filter is more commonly used on large residential and commercial pools and is available in a number of different sizes. The sand filter will require a backwash line run to a suitable location. This is so the waste water can be run when performing the backwash process. The sand filter is easy to use can be used with salt water, chlorine and freshwater pools.

Water Features
Water features are a great way to make your pool unique.
They can provide entertainment for kids, create a tranquil ambience through the sound of the running water and can be visually attractive enhancing the overall look of your pool area. It is also possible to use a water feature to enclose your filtration system. The price of a water feature can vary significantly however Dean and Sally would be happy to discuss the different options and prices.

Swimming Pool Lights and Pool Surrounds Lighting

Underwater pool lights are the perfect way to bring your swimming pool to life at night time so you and you’re family can use and appreciate your pool for longer as well as making it safer when entering.
Most pool lights are LED these days and are able to emit different colours to suit different moods and situations.
Installing extra feature lights around the pool is a great way to further enhance your beautiful pool as well as highlight any surrounding features.
The Pool Installation Process, How Do We Operate?
At Evoke Pools, our process as trusted pool builders across Byron Bay and the beautiful Northern Rivers begins with a free, no-obligation site inspection. During this initial visit, you'll meet Dean, who will assess your site and discuss all viable options with you. He’ll evaluate access, boundaries, the optimal position for your pool to maximise its potential, filtration equipment placement, heating, fencing, and your landscaping and entertainment preferences.
We never sign a contract without completing an official site inspection.
Once you're happy with your quote, we’ll proceed by signing a SPASA contract and submitting your council application. Approval typically takes 10 to 21 business days, after which we begin your installation.
Installation of the pool shell generally takes 4 to 5 days, with full completion (including header course, paving, and fencing) achievable in 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your specific requirements.
